6. Is there a reason the building was created or the history of the building itself? This building was created for a fair that was happening for a few months and then it turned out to be an apartment but it was too much money to manage .
7. Why did you pick this building?
I picked this building without even knowing what it was first, and right when i see it I thought it looked so interesting. Everything about how it is laid out is so modern , the square building makes me think of energy efficient house they have now .  It is 12 stories in height but it doesn't look very tall in pictures. I love the modern style it has for it to have been built in the 60's.

6. Is there a reason the building was created or the history of the building itself? It was created for living space.
7. Why did you pick this building?
I picked this building cause i thought it was immediately interesting the name of the building "cubic houses" when i read that i thought it would be like a square but in stead it is like a Rubiks cube on its side. I thought this was very amazing, the architect wanted the look of it to be trees and then it comes into a Forrest , i can see where he was going with this because the buildings kind of look like they are on stoops and the actually parts you live in can be the leaves and branches part of the tree.

1. Who is the architect (the person who built it)? There is not one architect, the Taiwanese designed it.
2. When was it built? Begin construction in 1978
3. Where is it located? New Taipei CityTaiwan.

6. Is there a reason the building was created or the history of the building itself? The building was created to be a vacation resort targeted for military officers.
7. Why did you pick this building?
I picked this building because the first pictures I seen of it, it looked broken down, so i wanted to see the story behind it and what happened. It turns out that these buildings were abandoned and  they stopped construction on the building because of money and the deaths it was causing. Its also interesting to find out about abandoned buildings because there is always a story to it. It also said it was built on a burial site, but other then the background information the buildings are build so differently, it looks as if it would be one big room.

Nautilus House

6. Is there a reason the building was created or the history of the building itself? The architect wanted the building to have an aquatic feel to it. This building is occupied by a young couple and 2 children.
7. Why did you pick this building?
I picked this building because i immediately fell in love with it, its hard to believe that this is even a house it is so bizarre. For the people living in it, it is like living under the sea in a shell. From the first pictures I seen it was like grass inside the house but turns out it is carpet. I would love to live at this house everything about it is amazing, how it is curved to the bathroom. I also love how the architect stayed with the theme in every room . just beautiful.
 Burj Al Arab

I picked this building because I seen it before in an architecture book and i always thought the look of it was amazing, to me it looks like a sinking ship but it is designed to be like a sail. Another thing that i like about this building is that it is on its own island and it is right by the beach the location is so beautiful. I would love to stay here for a vacation.
