Great Black & White Photographers, PART 2

Sebastiao Salgado was born in Amores Brazil February 8, 1944. He got his masters degree in economics in the University of Sao Paulo. He began working as an economist for the International Coffee Organization. He later quit to pursue photography in 1973. He initially began working on news assignments then moved more towards documentary-type work. He now lives in Paris. He has traveled in over 100 countries for his photographic projects. He has been awarded many awards for his work in photography.He is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, and an honorary member of the Academy of Arts and Sciences in the United States.
